C Spire has invested more than $20 million in upgrades to its wireless network in the first five months of 2023, including hundreds of new and enhanced 5G and LTE sites across its Mississippi footprint. This follows a $118 million investment in wireless enhancements in 2022.

So far in 2023, technicians completed more than 200 new or enhanced cell sites—and two-thirds of them involved bringing more 5G to more towns, cities and rural areas in Mississippi. Recent work across Pike County, for example, has expanded 5G access to South Pike High School, located in the Magnolia community, and Southwest Mississippi Community College on the northeastern side of McComb and Summit.

Earlier in 2023, C Spire installed and activated new 5G sites across the Jackson metro area, as well as in Kosciusko, Wiggins, Oxford and across the Gulf Coast region. Catch up on all the major enhancements to the C Spire wireless network in the first half of 2023.

Speeds doubled in Kosciusko and more
Recent network enhancements across our Mississippi footprint include citywide 5G in Kosciusko, where wireless customers are experiencing speeds up to twice as fast as before.

Wiggins, Mississippi: Now with 5G
If you’ve only passed through Wiggins on Hwy. 49, here’s a new reason to stop and explore: C Spire 5G, which is providing faster speeds for residents and visitors who use our wireless network.

C Spire adds more 5G to Central Mississippi
We brought online and enhanced dozens of new 5G sites to serve nearly half a million residents in the Central Mississippi/Capitol Region.

More C Spire 5G comes to Oxford, Gulf Coast
In the latest round of 5G enhancements, our team has deployed the technology at 10 sites in and around Oxford, as well as at several urban and rural locations throughout the Gulf Coast region.
