More than 1,000 business professionals and I.T. experts will descend upon TekLinks in Birmingham for the annual Bytes & Bites 2018 Solution Summit. This April 19 technology event is free and open to the public.

From 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., guests will enjoy food, beer, live music by Billy Gant, tech demos, hourly gadget giveaways, expert tech talks, 14 tech vendor booths, tours of the TekLinks' Data Center, and more.

AT 11:30 a.m. Keynote Speaker John Shaw, CEO at ELE.ai, will discuss Artificial Intelligence strategies. "I'll share how to become an AI-first enterprise through AI adoption for yourself and your customers," said John.

Other sessions: A Public Cloud panel discussion with Microsoft, Citrix, and TekLink is at 12:30 p.m.; and a Security panel discussion with Cisco, DellEMC, and TekLinks is at 1:30 p.m.

BBQ, Beer, pops

Jim 'N Nicks is providing BBQ and fixin's while Logic Monitor is sponsoring the beer booth. Steel City Pops will offer their gourmet pops in a variety of flavors. "It's hard to say which food vendor is more popular, but I wouldn't suggest waiting too long to nab your favorite pop. They go quickly!" says TekLinks' Marketing Director Haley Montgomery.

Loads of Door Prizes

This year we're giving away hundreds of dollars' worth of giveaways to our most engaged participants. Prizes will include a Nintendo Switch, Yeti Hopper 40 Cooler, Apple iPad, and a Nest Thermostat among others.

Bytes & Bites 2018 app: Guests will soon be able to download the Bytes & Bites 2018 app, available on both iOS and Android. At the event, guests use the app to enter to win door prizes by participating in activities such as visiting vendor booths, meeting our cybersecurity team, and attending presentations. The more points guests rack up, the more entries they will receive in the drawing for one of 12 door prizes. Guests with the top points will win one of 12 door prizes. We'll notify registrants as soon as the app is available for downloading. 

Hashtag Photo Wall: Guests are invited to help create a billboard-sized work of art – live and in real-time, powered by the hashtag #BytesBites18. Participation in this Instagram-driven wall of art will also earn app points toward door prize giveaways! (So if you don't have an Instagram account, be sure to create one before April 19.)
