Our vast fiber network helps us bring faster speeds and more reliability than ever to home internet. But did you know it’s also a major factor in our ever-expanding wireless network?
That’s right — the same robust fiber infrastructure spanning three states and sending our internet speeds into the stratosphere also connects our wireless towers. And it’s continually growing larger and stronger.
As part of a $1 billion investment, the C Spire network team has racked up more than 500 enhancements to our 5G and LTE wireless network and the fiber infrastructure that powers our home internet and wireless towers since 2022.
C Spire also answered the call to provide additional temporary support for its customers and neighbors throughout the year, including added coverage at the O.B. Curtis Water Treatment Facility in Jackson during the city's water crisis, as well as areas of Rolling Fork and Amory that were affected by powerful tornadoes on March 24.
For special events that brought a surge of attendees—like Mardi Gras parades, the Thunder on the Sound air show at Keesler AFB, Biloxi Spring Break, collegiate sports, festivals and concerts—C Spire sent its COW (Cell On Wheels) and COLT (Cell On Light Truck) to keep network traffic moving swiftly.
