New enhancements to the C Spire wireless network in Biloxi, Miss., are impacting high-traffic areas along the beachfront as well as near schools.

Just in time for fall events like Cruisin’ the Coast — an annual weeklong gathering that attracts 10,000 classic cars and automobiles — our cell site near Edgewater Mall, one of the prime locations for viewing and visiting, just got a big boost in wireless coverage and capacity.

That’s why C Spire brought its robust COLT (Cell On Light Truck) portable cellular tower to provide wireless support for the recent Thunder Over Columbus air show, held Sept. 21-22 at Columbus Air Force Base in Mississippi.

Wireless speeds are taking off across the C Spire network thanks to continual enhancements of 5G and high-speed LTE in both urban and rural areas.

C Spire technicians recently completed work adding a new macro site in the Elks Lake area of Forrest County, just south of Hattiesburg in the Piney Woods region. These enhancements are now bolstering cell coverage and capacity for customers and commuters between I-59 and U.S. Hwy. 49.

Students and administrators at Corinth High School and customers on the west side of New Albany, Mississippi, are the latest to see new enhancements to the C Spire network.

Rural communities across Mississippi have been high on C Spire’s network enhancement priority list lately, and recent macro cell updates are bringing broader coverage and higher speeds for C Spire customers in two additional communities.

There’s no single way to reach Fame — in fact, Mississippi state highways 9 and 15 will get you pretty close, as will U.S. Hwy. 82 and the scenic Natchez Trace Parkway.
