There’s no single way to reach Fame — in fact, Mississippi state highways 9 and 15 will get you pretty close, as will U.S. Hwy. 82 and the scenic Natchez Trace Parkway.
Of course, we’re talking about the community of Fame, Mississippi, in northern Webster County, where wireless network traffic is speeding along thanks to a new macro cell from C Spire.
Just to the east in Lowndes County, students, administrators and teachers at Caledonia High School are also seeing significantly higher speeds and bandwidth from a new small cell recently installed on site.
Other recent enhancements in the Golden Triangle include new cells at Eupora High School in Webster County, West Point High School, and Una in Clay County, as well as two new sites in Noxubee County.
C Spire engineers constantly monitor customer usage and patterns and proactively add speed, capacity and coverage enhancements through micro and macro cell sites to stay ahead of customer needs.
The C Spire network team racked up more than 500 enhancements to the cellular network in 2022 and 2023, a nearly $150 million investment. These 5G and LTE deployments are part of a $1 billion investment in expanding our network and the fiber infrastructure that powers our wireless towers.
