C Spire has invested more than $20 million in upgrades to its wireless network in the first five months of 2023, including hundreds of new and enhanced 5G and LTE sites across its Mississippi footprint. This follows a $118 million investment in wireless enhancements in 2022.

Ultra-fast broadband internet access is at the fingertips of more residents than ever in Alabama, as C Spire’s recently completed acquisition of Troy Cablevision accelerates expansion across southwestern Alabama’s Wiregrass region.

Recent network enhancements across our Mississippi footprint include citywide 5G in Kosciusko, where wireless customers are experiencing speeds up to twice as fast as before.

We have also added new 5G coverage in towns like Waveland, Orange Grove and Moss Point, while expanding 5G on Hattiesburg’s south side and bringing the technology to the Hwy. 42 corridor in Petal.

If you’re from Mississippi, you probably know a few things about Wiggins. Maybe you’ve enjoyed the recreation at Flint Creek Water Park or stopped into the Whistle Stop Café for a roast beef po’ boy smothered in brown gravy.

But if you’ve only passed through town on Hwy. 49, here’s another reason to stop and explore: new C Spire 5G, which is providing faster speeds for residents and visitors who use our wireless network.

Over the course of three tragic hours on the evening of March 24, life changed forever for thousands of Mississippians.

Twenty-one lives were lost as a series of massive tornadoes cut a path of destruction across central and northeast Mississippi. A long recovery awaits the survivors, led by the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, American Red Cross, and scores of local emergency management teams and individuals who are volunteering to provide food, clothes, shelter and funds to rebuild their lives.

We’re on a mission to bring more 5G to Mississippi—and in the last 14 months alone, we’ve deployed $114 million in upgrades across the state.

But the truth is our network is constantly evolving. Over the past month, we’ve brought online and enhanced dozens of new 5G sites to serve nearly half a million residents in the Central Mississippi/Capitol Region.
